Here are some tips on the daily care of your footwear:
- Shoes shall be unlaced when putting on and taking off. While putting on shoes, it is recommended to use a shoehorn
- To avoid abrasion of heel cups, you should always wear your shoes well laced (it is important to choose the shoes according to the feet size and length)
- Shoes should be cleaned using a damp cloth or sponge (it is forbidden to launder the shoes, it makes the leather less flexible and, prone to cracking and weakens the seams and glue joints)
- Soaking the shoes should be avoided, especially leather footwear. If that happens, however, please remember that drying shall take place in a room temperature, the shoes should be unlaced. We should avoid its deformation using a shoetree or by filling the shoe with soft paper. Please remember not to use dryers, heaters or ovens to dry the shoes, as intense drying in high temperatures may damage your shoes).
- It is worth to spend some time for shoe maintenance now and then, using agents and methods suitable for a given type of leather, especially the products specified below.
